AI Concerns & Outlook
Although I'm fairly optimstic about AI as a whole, there are a few concerns I have regarding it such as alignment or the already shaky job market.
For example, models like Grok, which is designed to be "truth-seeking" and advoiding the woke bias, went infamously off the rails calling itself MechaHitler and talking about the white genocides in Africa which was based on the instructions in the system prompt. It just shows one of the potential dangers of an unregulated AI.
Another issue that I tend to hear online is the scarcity of jobs due to many layoffs and a lack of entry level jobs due to the rise of AI. All of the low level work can be automated by AI which saves on wages, however new workers can't get enough experience to rise through the company.
